Bryan Kachel Tattoos Priya

It’s been a long time coming (2 years to be exact) for Priya’s “I just turned 18″ hibiscus tattoo to morph into a piece of art. My good friend and amazing tattoo artist Bryan Kachel does amazing work and he did just that for Priya. They’ve been working on this design forever and it was awesome to finally see it on her skin.

Check out the GoPro time-lapse documentation below! If you’re thinking ink, think Bryan Kachel. Check out his site at www.bryankachel.com. He works at Cicada Tattoo up in Northgate.

Ah cool, yeah that was my first thought, what threw me was the fisheye. Thought you popped on a lens and it was full frame. Thanks for clarifying and agree about it adding style. :D

Since it’s a photo time-lapse rather than video, the photos are at like 2500px x 1700px or something which is much bigger than 1920×1080. So, you can zoom in (in post) and then move things around. It adds a ton of style rather than just being a steady shot. I stitch the photos together using “Time-Lapse” (Mac App Store) then take that .mov file and edit in FCP. Thanks man!

Whoa! Looks beautifully painful. What was the process to get the pan and zoom over timelapse? Manual or in post? Cool vid duder.
